2. Red Dead Online Beta
Release Date: 11/27* Staggered to all users across the week.

Publisher: Rockstar Games
Red Dead Redemption 2 has made waves and broke records so far with its release. It has recieved multiple 10/10 reviews, and is in the running for GOTY at the Game Awards. However, Rockstar isn't done yet. It is launching the beta for Red Dead Online this week, staggered over the next few days. Ultimate edition owners get first crack at it, with everyone getting it by the end of the week. The online mode contains gems like a character creator and even a battle royale mode!
3. Just Cause 4 Gold Edition
Release Date: 12/03* Game Available Early to Gold Edition Owners
Platforms: PC, Xbox One, PS4
4K Support: Yes
Developer: Avalanche Studios
Publisher: Square Enix
What is going to allow Just Cause 4 to stand out in such an overcrowded Holiday 2018 is its physics. This game has crazy out of this world graphics that look amazing on powerful PC's or high end consoles like the Xbox One X or PS4 Pro. This is a game I almost glanced over, until I watched one of the recent trailers. In my opinion, it is coming out at probably the worst time. With Black Friday and Cyber Monday which contained some of the craziest gaming deals I have ever seen, just ending right behind us, many gamers are now broke. Gamers could have gotten Spiderman PS4 bundles for as low as 199$. The mega juggernaut that is Red Dead Redemption 2 is just releasing its Online mode this week. Artist classics that are some of the best games of the year like God of War and Detroit Become Human were under 20$ this year. Call of Duty Black Ops 4, could be found for under 40$! With so many games releasing, and so many hot titles heavily discounted. Releasing the week after black friday, and after some of the biggest games of the year, it is going to be difficult for JC4 to stand out. Remember we are only a week a way from Super Smash Bros. I hope the timing doesn't hurt this game, because if this game is on your back burner or not even on your radar at all like it was mine, just watch a few trailers and give it another chance. This open world chaos simulator looks to be a grand time.
4. Elder Scrolls Blades
*(UPDATE)* Elder Scrolls Blade received a last minute delay to late 2019 after this post went live.
Release Date: 2019
Platforms: iOS, Android
Developer: Bethesda Game Studios
Publisher: Bethesda Softworks
Many major developers are working on bringing console level games to mobile. Bethesda is no exception, with Elder Scrolls Blades, we get to see a full skyrim level rpg coming to mobile. This title will not only be a full console like experience, but it claims to look and feel beautiful as well. Bethesda played this one smart. They know gamers are eagerly waiting for Elders Scrolls 6, but that is still a ways way. This will be a great new in between game to hold gamers over until that title. Being free, and accessible on our phones, perhaps this will be a game that starts to show gamers what is trully accessible on mobile, helping to raise the bar on what is expected and demanded of those titles. Blades was quietly and last minute delayed from its September release to December, so let's just hope we get to start playing it right away come December. Bethesda did say they wish to bring the game to all possible platforms, so if mobile is still not your taste, perhaps console and pc ports will come soon. Bethesda with its support of Switch and mobile is proving to be the most multi-platform friendly developer to date. Bethesda has even gone on record saying they are not against using their games to push for cross platform play with Sony.
5. Star Wars Battlefront 2: Geonosis Update
Release Date: 11/28 (Update)
Platforms: PC, Xbox One, PS4
4K Support: Yes
Developer: EA DICE, Criterion Software, Motive Studios
Publisher: EA Games
Star Wars Battlefront 2 has had a...difficult journey to say the least. To say the game was well recieved would be a lie. The problem is that game is actually pretty well made, what took the hate spotlight was its microtransactions and progression system. This conversation took the mainstream media and casual conversation. The thing is, fast forward to today, the game is very different. The microtransaction focused progression system and potential for pay to win and in balanced gameplay is all gone. All that is left is a pretty fair and balanced game with no pay to win in sight. That didn't stop players from abandoning the game. I give EA a lot of credit. At E3 2018, they used the big stage to basically apologize for the the mistakes theyve made and were honest about the updates they wanted to bring the game. They outlined a rollout of characters and updates over the course of 2018. The biggest update yet is the Geonosis map. For star wars fans we know the Battle of Geonosis is one of the biggest and baddest battles in the movies, and was the start of the clone wars. With this map we also see the addition of Obi Wan Kenobi. Along with the recent addition of General Grevious, this major map should be enough to return to the game if you haven't played in a while. It is the largerst map to date, and looks to be a lot of fun. I think Battlefront 2 deserves a second chance with this update. Keep in mind, the update is free, but Kenobi and Greveous need to be unlocked through in game progression (We did ask for that so...no real $$$).
6. Artifact
Release Date: 11/28
Platforms: PC
4K Support: Yes
Developer: Valve Corporation
Publisher: Valve Corporation
Portal 3? Half Life 3? Team Fortress 3? Dota 3? Nope. The number three is evil. Here's a card game. I know that's what you wanted from Valve who hasn't made a game in years. Well... here you go. Artificat is a digital collectible card game. It focuses on online PVP battles and is based in the Dota 2 Universe. It's not the game any of us wanted...but apparently it is the hero we deserve.
7. Ride 3
Release Date: 11/30
Platforms: PC, Xbox One, PS4
Developer: Milestone S.R.L.
Publisher: Milestone S.R.L.
Ride 3 is the latest in the installment of the motorcycle focused franchis and promises to be the biggest and best yet. Ride 2 saw mixed reviews, so we hope to see more from the third installment. The developers went on record saying that "enhanced visuals" were sought on the premium One X and PS4 Pro consoles, with possiblilty of 4K in the future. If you are looking for a new racing sim in the motorcycle genre, then perhaps give Ride 3 a look.
