New Game Tuesday 12/11-12/17

"New Game Tuesday" is now on gameinfinite.net! Every week I research the upcoming games launching on that week, either for the first time or major ports, updates, versions, and help share the news with all of you! Until now, NGT has been on social media, with a brief promo and explanation of the games. Now, a longer version will also be available on gameinfinite.net/news to help provide a more ubiquitous experience across Game Infinite.

New Game Tuesday show cases major game releases from Tuesday to the following Monday. This week is a big one! We see several major releases across multiple platforms. Scroll down to see if any of the major releases appeal to you!

This week is a small week for releases, understandably so after such a major week last week. This week brings some extra benefits to switch owners who aren't too busy playing Super Smash.

1. Earth Defense Force 5

Release Date: 12/11

Platforms: PS4

Developer: Sandlot

Publisher: Sandlot, D3 Publisher

The fifth installment of this crazy off the wall franchise once again asks players to defend earth against alien invasion. YOu face space aliens, giant robots, and of course giant insects. With absurdity levels that would make Saints Row seem tame, Earth Defense Force is a cult hit game that has its followers. If this were the middle of the year and nothing was out, then perhaps this could be a fun pass time, but with all the amazing games coming out before Holiday, the timing alone may hurt this game. 2. Firewatch (Switch Port)

Release Date: 12/17

Platforms: (New on) Nintendo Switch, PS4, Mac, PC, Xbox One

Developer: Campo Santo

Firewatch is one of those small indie gems that have their following, and has certainly hit multiple platforms. It is now hitting the Nintendo Switch, and you can explore the forest on the go. Firewatch is an adventure game, a mystery set in Wyoming 1989, where your conversation in the game comes from the person on the other end of a radio.

3. Everspace (Switch Port)

Release Date: 12/11

Platforms: (New on) Nintendo Switch, PC, Mac, Xbox One, PS4

Developer: Rockfish Games

Do you like vast open space environments? Well now you can enjoy the aclaimed massive exploration space platfrom that is Everspace on the go with Nintendo Switch!

4. Dragon Marked for Death

Release Date: 12/13

Platforms: Nintendo Switch

Developer: Inti Creates

Dragon Marked for Death is a 2D side-scrolling action RPG game where up to 4 players can play together. If you are a fan of 2D platformers this could be a good option for you.
