"New Game Tuesday" is back in 2019! Every week, Game Infinite shares some of the stand out games coming out that week. This week brings us one of the first big hotly anticipated games of the year with Resident Evil 2 Remake dropping. Seeing a lot of excitement post its infamous one shot demo, players are eager to get their hands on this classic remake. Resident Evil 2 was even on Game Infinite's "Most Anticipated Gmes of 2019" list. Some Indie standouts that look to be great on Nintendo Switch, the new home for indie love, include Pikuniku and inoops. Smite, the beloved MOBA that pits deities from various religions across the world against each other is now heading to the Nintendo Switch, so you can battle Area, Zeus, and Aphrodite on the go.

New Game Tuesday showcases major game releases from Tuesday to the following Monday. Scroll down to see if any of the major releases appeal to you!

1. Resident Evil 2 (2019)

Release Date: 1/25

Platforms: PS4, Xbox One, PC

Developer/Publisher: Capcom

Making the list on Game Infinite's Most Anticipated Games of 2019, I am really excited for this revist to the classic horror game. I remember my first memories of Resident Evil were playing this with my friend as kid. I never really got into the resident evil franchis after, so I see this as a great opportunity to go back. The one shot demo was popular, yet showed the game is going to be challenging as only 24% of players were able to beat it in time.

2. Smite (Nintendo Switch Port)

Release Date: 1/24

Platforms: (New on) Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, PC, Mac,

Developer: HI-Rez Studios, Titan Forge Games,

Publishers: Hi-Rez Studios, Tencent, Level Up! Games

I am so excited that Smite is coming to Nintendo Switch. Smite is in my top 5 favorite MOBA's and definitely has a following amoungst moba fans. SMITE is the second free moba to hit the Nintendo Switch after Arena of Valor, so hopefully this is a sign of things to come. I said in the Arena of Valor review that the Switch platform is a perfect new place for moba devs looking to expand beyond mobile or pc. Hopefully with AOV and Smite seeing success we will see more MOBA's make their way to Switch. The trailer above shows plays taking the famed deity battling game both on the go, and at home. Interestingly they show the player playing the game on a bus. Granted he could be using this in some sort of mobile hot spot, but this implies some offline options as well. Perhaps we will see an offline mode/single player mode arrive. Either way, at the low low cost of FREE, it is a must try for Switch owners. Smite is also available on PS4, Xbox One and PC/Mac.

3. INOOPS

Release Date: 1/26

Platforms: Nintendo Switch

Developer: ZRZ Studio

INOOPS brings a beautful artstyle to a 2D platformer that is already causing stir amoungst indie fans. As 2019, progresses definitely need to keep an eye out for thos stand out indie titles. Is inoops going to already bring us a indie classic in January? I can't wait to try out this fun little title for ZRZ Studioes.

4. Pikuniku

Release Date: 1/24

Platforms: Nintendo Switch, PC, Mac

Developer: Sectordub, Remi Forcadell, Alan Zucconi, Ardaud De Bock, Calum Bowen,

Publisher: Devolver Digital

Not to be outdone by INOOPS come PiKUNiKU also battling for that stand out indie spot already in Janurary 2019. Backed by Devolver Digital this small indie team has plenty of support pushing their platfomer forward. Described as a "dystopian game" designed to "make people happy" it definitely has an unusal premise, but once you seen the fun and whimsical art style you will understand. There is just something about the game that looks fun and inviting, and I can't wait to try it.

5. At Sun Down Shots in the Dark

Release Date:

Platforms: Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PS4, PC,

Developer: Mild Beast Games

Publisher: Versus Evil

This top down "hide and seek shooter" is hitting multiplatform this week, and it looks to be a blast. Up to 4 players compete in online or local battles. The game features a variety of weapons, maps and zones, giving variety to its gameplay, as players battle to win each round "at sun down".

6. The Raven Remastered (Port to Nintendo Switch)

Release Date: 1/22

Platforms: (New on) Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, PC

Developer: King Art Games

Publisher: THQ Nordic

The Raven Remaster is coming to Nintendo Switch! Set in 1964, when a ruby is stolen from the British Museum where a Raven feather is left behind. Players follow this story to learn more about what happens. Now you can take the mystery on the go with Nintendo Switch.
