New Game Tuesday, Games Releasing 3/26 - 4/1

This week brings some exciting updates as I am personally very excitied for Assassin's Creed III Remastered! I remember that game launching years ago and loving it. We also see Yoshi coming to Nintendo Switch! Final Fantasy VII...no not THAT VII...the original is coming to Xbox and Switch.

"New Game Tuesday" showcases major game releases from Tuesday to the following Monday. Scroll down to see if any of the major releases appeal to you!

1. Yoshi's Crafted World

Release Date: 3/29

Platforms: Switch

Publisher/Developer: Nintendo

Yoshi was announced alongside Kirby for Nintendo Switch, and Kirby came out early last year. Yoshi's Crafted World was set to release sometime in 2018 before seeing a delay to 2019, and now it is finally here. I'm unsure as to what the cause of sucha a delay would have been as this appears to be another formulaic side scrolling adventure not unlike Kirby, Donkey Kong, or Mario. The demo of the game was short but fun. Don't play this right after Sekiro; the shock to you system will be too much to handle. Early reports show the full game is just as easy as the demo; once again it feels like Nintendo is failing to see a need to vary the difficulty for gamers. Maybe adults enjoy Nintendo's games too? If you are looking for a fun colorful adventure with Yoshi, then you will definitely enjoy the game.

2. Assassin's Creed III Remastered

Release Date: 3/29

Platforms: PS4, PC, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch* (May)

Developer/Publisher: Ubisoft

The very first Assassin's Creed game is amazing example of how a super great concept and premise can save a series from a trash game. The first assassin's creed was so bad and repetative that I didn't bother to play the second game or the follow up spin offs. If it hadn't been for Assassin's Creed III's awesome decision to head to colonial America I probably would never have given the series a second chance. Assassin's Creed III had an awesome look, premise, and marketing, and was more than enough to draw me back to the franchise. After playing 3, I eventually went back and played 2 and the spin offs. I would have missed out on amazing games like Syndicate, Origins, and Odyssey. Now fast forward to 2019, we get to re-experience this awesome adventure with updated visuals and graphics that the game trully deserves. The best part is Season Pass owners of last years Odyssey (like me!) get the new game absolutely FREE. Also exciting is this is the first AC game to come to Nintendo Switch or any nintendo platform in a while. Sadly the Switch version won't launch until May. The last 4 major titles have skipped Nintendo probably due to size and graphics. Let's hope that more Assassin's Creed's get ported to Switch!

3. Tropico 6

Release Date: 3/29

Platforms: Xbox, PS4, PC, Mac

Publisher: Kalypso Media

Developer: Limbic Entertainment

Announced back during E3 2017, Tropico 6 is finally upon us. Tropico is a simulation game not unlike Civilization or other world management games, but focuses on construction and politics. I remember the excitment when 5 launched, so I know fans of this beloved franchise are pretty excited about this new game.

4. Generation Zero

Release Date: 3/26

Platforms: PS4, PC, Xbox One

Developer: Avalanche Studios

Publisher: THQ Nordic

5. Final Fantasy VII (ORIGINAL) - Xbox One/Nintendo Switch

Release Date: 3/26

Platforms: PS4, Xbox One, Switch, PC, iOS, Android, PS3, Playstation

Developer: Square

Publisher: Square Enix

Don't get too excited, do note this is the original version, not the much anticipated remake. That being said, FFVII is widely considered to not only be the greatest Final Fantasy games ever made (next to XIII of course) but also to be one of the greatest games ever made. Now, if you haven't played it yet, nows your chance for Switch and Xbox owners to play the original before the remake ever releases.

6. Danganronpa Trilogy

Release Date: 3/26

Platforms: PS4

Developer: Spike Chunsoft
