New Game Tuesday, Games Releasing 4/23 - 4/29

This weeks New Game Tuesday was more challenging than normal! I was unable to post during the day due to technical difficulties with my computer. None of my documents wanted to open so had to spend hours trying to get it to cooperate. Multiple resets, reboots, and reloads it is finally working. Lost my wallpaper and desktop organization for some reason but at least I can open my documents. This week is an exciting one with Mortal Kombat 11 dropping. I never really ventured into that franchise before so now I am excitied to try it out. Days Gone is also a much anticipated zombie survival game...yes another one, but this one looks to be a good one.

"New Game Tuesday" showcases some major game releases from Tuesday to the following Monday. Scroll down to see if any of the major releases appeal to you!

1. Mortal Kombat 11

Release Date: 4/23

Platforms: PS4, Xbox One, PC, Switch

Publisher:

Developer:

This is my first Mortal Kombat 11 game but I feel as excited as a long term fan because it just looks super fun. Im excited for this new fighter game as it is a genre I really like. The reveal of the game got me amped and I can't wait to start practicing my fatalities. One interesting note is this is the first multiplatorm AAA title of the year to also hit Switch, and at launch. Can this be a trend of studios treating the Switch seriously?

2. Days Gone

Release Date: 4/26

Platforms: PS4

Publisher: Sony

Developer: Sie Bend Studio

A lot is riding on Days Gone as it is the first big PS4 exclusive of the year, in a year where Sony is very absent from its fans with no E3 event. Many of you know my stance on Zombie Games. You have to make it stand out and be special when you build a game in the single most saturated genre in gaming. After awhile these games blur together and don't get me excited. However, do to the promises this game offeres, many are saying it stands above the pack and worthy of your wallets. Time will tell.

3. Box Boy + Box Girl

Release Date: 4/26

Platforms: Switch

Developer: HAL Labortory

This indie title stood out immediately in the Nintendo Direct reveal and now it is here this week. I can always tell indie games that are going to be discussed in end of year lists as some of our favs and something strikes me this is going to be a fun one.

Additional:

Also releasing this week is Dragon's Dogman Dark Arisen for Nintendo Switch, as well as Super Meat Boy Forever and Ugly Dolls. As always, stay tuned here on Game Infinite News for the latest gaming news! Check back next week for New Game Tuesday!
