New Game Tuesday, Games Releasing - 7/23 - 7/29

This week's NGT is a filled with two games that have fans of certain franchises chomping at the bit to play. Die hard Fire Emblem fans can look forward to mega release Three Houses. Wolfenstein fans are excited for the next entry in the nazi killing series, this time with Youngblood.

"New Game Tuesday" showcases some major game releases from Tuesday to the following Monday. Scroll down to see if any of the major releases appeal to you!

1. Wolfenstein YoungBlood

Release Date: 7/26

Platforms: Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, PC,

Developer: Arkane Studios, Machine Games

Publisher: Bethesda

Do you like killing NAZI's? Well then the makers of the Wolfenstein games are here for you because Nazi killing is the main premise of their games in their over the top crazy revisionist history way. Now this time you get to play as the twin daughters of Blazkowicz as they fight to liberate Paris. The modern Wolfenstein games have very much the doom-esque, notably Bethesda style tanky feel to the guns and first person shooters that all their recent games like Rage 2, Prey, Fallout and others have. So if you like the feel of Bethesda games, this will be more of that play style.

2. fire emblem three houses

Release Date: 7/26

Platforms: Nintendo Switch

Developer: Intelligent Systems, Koei Tecmo Games,

Publisher: Nintendo

For this one I hope you have a lot of free time on you hands. Do you have a friend that always seems to beat games before you? Recently between jobs? Don't want to buy another game for quite awhile? Well I know very little about the Fire Emblem series but the most noticeable thing I have heard about this game ahead of launch is its run time. No ability to complain about lack of content here, because Three Houses will give players a whopping battery life killing 300 HOURS. You read that right. Now strap on your walking shoes as you play this game on the go as you walk across America and back.

3. kill la kill if

Release Date: 7/26

Platforms: Nintendo Switch, PS4, PC

Developer: A+ Games

Publisher: Arc Systems Works, PQube

If you were wondering when someone was finally going to make another fan service fighting game, then wait no longer. I assume this is based off some anime, of which I claim to be no expert. However, this stylized over the top fighter looks to fit a niche. For fans of this type of game or anime, then it is almost upon us.

4. raiden v (Now on switch)

Release Date: 7/25

Platforms: PS4, PC, Xbox One (Japan only), New on Switch

Developer: MOSS

Publisher: MOSS, UFO Interactive Games

Raiden V is a shoot em up that has been out for a bit now. Released worldwide on the PS4 and Japan only for Xbox (a certainly odd combo) but is now coming to Nintendo Switch to take the shooting craziness on the go. If you are like me and not super familiar with franchise, it looks like Galaga and that's all you need to know. That style of shooter excites me on the Switch which is perfect for simpler fun shooters on the go.
