New Game Tuesday, Games Releasing 10/22 - 10/28

This week's NGT brings us the biggest launch of the year, the behemoth that is Call of Duty. The most anticipated title in years, Modern Warfare is expected to break record. Even though Activision Blizzard has been sucked into multiple huge controversies, with Blitzchung-Blizzard, the PS4 year exclusive deal for one of the game mods, and game leaks about loot boxes and pay to win mechanics have all negatively hit this game. That being said it will mostly like still break sales records. Cult classics Medieval is much anticipated in its PS4 remake. We also get this years installment for WWE 2K20 and the "Fallout in Space" new IP, The Outer Worlds.

"New Game Tuesday" showcases some major game releases from Tuesday to the following Monday. Scroll down to see if any of the major releases appeal to you!

1. call of duty modern warfare (2019)

Release Date: 10/25

Platforms: Xbox One, PS4, PC,

Developer: InfinityWard

Publisher: Activision

Nothing can stop the behemoth that is Activision's Call of Duty. It is a mega-release that outsells any game every year. This year Activision Blizzard is dealing with multiple controversies. Everything from Blizzard's Blitzchung controversy that has already led to massive backlash, cancelled events, and cancelled preorders. Top this off on the Activision side of the company, the PS4 year long RIDICULOUS exclusive for a game mode, and leaks about aggressive pay to win loot boxes at launch (which were either untrue or quietly cancelled due to backlash) and we have a trinity of controversies getting in Acitvision's way. That being said, this probably won't stop many from playing the game, and won't stop what is to be predicted to be a record breaking release for Call of Duty. Despite the mess ups and controversies, we remained excited to play Modern Warfare as both the Alpha and Beta were quite positive. We will be doing a Launch Day Watch Party at 6PM CT on Twitch with a Gi t-shirt giveaway!

2. the outer worlds

Release Date: 10/25

Platforms: PC, PS4, Xbox One,

Developer: Obsidian Entertainment

Publisher: Private Division

Do you want Fall Out in Space? Well that's what The Outer Worlds is shaping to look like as the makers of Fall Out New Vegas are bringing this new IP to market. While it definitely takes some courage to launch on the same day as Call of Duty, one small respite is this will be a day one launch for GamePass members who will be able to play for free.

3. Medievil (2019 ps4 remake)

Release Date: 10/25

Platforms: PS4

Developer: Other Ocean Emeryville

Publisher: Sony

The much anticipated remake of the cult classic Medievil arrives this week. Play as a one eyed Skelton as you battle enemies in this PS4 exclusive.

4. WWE 2k20

Release Date: 10/22

Platforms: PS4, Xbox One, PC,

Developer: 2K Games

Publisher: Visual Concepts

The only thing I care less about then sports are fake sports. That being said, many gamers are big fans of wrestling. Well here's a new year installment of WWE 2K20. 2k Games is building themselves a reputation of lazy re-skins of previous installments with aggressive micro transactions, especially with NBA 2k20. With early reviews being poor, pointing out massive bugs, picking up or sticking with WWE 2K19 might be the best best for most WWE fans.

5. close to the sun

Release Date: 10/29

Platforms: PS4, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch

Developer: Storm in a Teacup

Publisher: Wired Productions

Close to the Sun is a first person horror adventure game that gives me major Bioshock vibes. It looks pretty interesting, with a dark intriguing world. Early reviews have positive bent for a lesser-known developer.

As always, stay tuned here on Game Infinite News for the latest gaming news! Check back next week for New Game Tuesday!
