Infinite Summer 2022: FF7 Anniversary Celebration - Recap
Square Enix came out guns blazing with a special event with the Final Fantasy 7 Anniversary Celebration. This wasn't typical Square Enix E3 style press conference, and it wasn't even a Final Fantasy event, so FFXIV, FFXVI and Origins did not make any appearance. This was specifically focused on anything with the 7 branding. It was a short 10 minute stream, but it was jam packed with news. PC fans were happy to hear of 7 Remake's Steam Release. We got news on mobile titles, some other related titles, and lastly what we all came for. The PART 2 for 7 Remake got an official name and reveal!

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth (Remake Part 2)
The reason we all tuned in. Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 2 has an official name, REBIRTH. Personally I would have rather "Remake Part 2" been the official name, as I don't want a confusing name to hurt this game. There are already google search suggestions for "is Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth a sequel to remake?" This already shows fans are confused by the name. Hopefully the naming choice won't hurt sales. That all being said, I am ecstatic to finally get news on the next installment as FF7R was one of my favorite games in recent memory and a GOTY contender. We also know now how many games are planned in the 7 Remake series. Rebirth will be Part 2 of 3 with a third and final game being announced in the future. We also have a "Next Winter" release window.
Final Fantasy VII Remake - Steam Release
PC fans can be excited for this news as FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE is releasing on June 17, 2022 on STEAM with full Steam Deck compatibility.
Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis
FF7 gets more than just a FF7R, but another remake in a modern mobile experience. It has a blend between more modern and retro original styles, and spans the entire FF7 timeline (as opposed to the abbreviated story in Remake).
Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII Reunion
Crisis Core is a fan favorite, and fans are excited to see it get the modern remake treatment. CRISIS CORE –FINAL FANTASY VII– REUNION will be released on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Steam this winter.
