Which are you more excited for?

"New Game Tuesday" showcases some major game releases from Tuesday to the following Monday. Scroll down to see if any of the major releases appeal to you!

1. destiny 2 Shadowkeep

Release Date: 10/1

Platforms: Xbox One, PS4, PC

Developer: Bungie

Publisher: Bungie

I finished the main story of Destiny 2 and loved the game. The endgame Sol mission is one of the coolest visuals in video games. However their initial roll out strategy of content left behind players that finished the game and left. The first expansion was unappealing and I was busy playing other games. When the second expansion came I bought it, excited to get back into it, only to find out I was too low level to even kill single enemies. I would have to purchase the first expansion and level up to the second. I understand the need for leveling but not being told the second would be unplayable without the first, felt like I was cheated and wasted my money. Because of that I never played Forsaken. I've heard that they are bumping peoples level to play Shadowkeep so they may have fixed this, wanting to bring people back. I may check this out.

2. ghost recon breakpoint

Release Date: 10/4

Platforms: PC, PS4, Xbox One

Developer: Ubisoft

Publisher: Ubisoft

Ghost Recon Breakpoint is about to suffer the same fate for me as its predecessor Wildlands. Wildslands launches next to Mass Effect Andromeda (I know, I know it still hurts for me too), Horizon Zero Dawn, and ZELDA BREATH OF THE FREAKING WILD. Here I thought EA had horrible release timing. I never played Wildlands because they just released it too close to so many other massive and some inarguably better games. I was excited for Breakpoint as an opportunity to get into the franchise, but once again they are picking an awful time to launch. This was a game that needed to launch solo in the 2019 spring/summer dry spell, not the hyper-crowded fall/holiday shopping season. I was excited by this game at E3, and I may get around to this game, but I fear it will be nudged out by all other the games coming in Broketober

3. apex legends - season 3 meltdown

Release Date: 10/1

Platforms: PC, Xbox One, PS4

Developer: Respawn Entertainment

Publisher: EA

Apex Legends is my favorite game of the year so far. It is one of the best, smoothest, and freshest shooters I have played since Titanfall 2 and Overwatch. Today it gets it's biggest update yet, Meltdown. With a whole new map on a new planet, a new character, new hop ups, new weapons, new skins, and more it promises to be a wild ride. I can't wait to get the internet working in my new place because the first thing I'm doing is updating Apex on my Xbox One X!
