1. Star Wars Jedi fallen order

Release Date: 11/15

Platforms: PS4, Xbox One, PC

Developer: Respawn Entertainment

Publisher: EA

Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order shouldn't exist. Believe me I'm glad it does, and I can't wait to get my hands on it. I mean that EA has had a vendetta against single player story games for years. EA has already axed one single player story game already on their crusade to turn every franchise of theirs into a live service. The studio working on EA's now cancelled "project ragtag" the one of many now cancelled Star Wars games under EA was understandably confused why EA seemed to go against everything they have been crusading for years and allowed Respawn to make this game.

I highly doubt that EA has had a change of heart, because EA has only been vocal on how they want more live services thanks to the success of Apex (seemingly ignoring the complete failure that is Anthem). Rumor has it that Jedi Fallen Order was in early phases before the complete purchase of Respawn by EA. Now I can think of few possibilities. Either 1.) EA realized that Respawn is their golden goose right now and with studios collapsing left and right under EA's boot (read the back story that was Bioware's Anthem collapse) and they need to "throw them a bone"; after all Anthem, Battlefield V, Battlefront 2 were all public disasters. The only recent critical success EA has is Respawn's own Apex Legends. 2.) Maybe Respawn made EA promise to allow for Fallen Order's existence as a condition of their purchase. EA has built itself a reputation of cancelling these games and maybe it was a stipulation. EA wanted Respawn to turn Titanfall 3 into a money printing Apex Legends Battle Royale and Jedi Fallen Order was the compromise. 3). Maybe EA did make this game happen this way as a public move. If it fails it can be used as an excuse to double down more on Live Services games. If it succeeds, EA earns some much desired and much needed points with gamers it lost with Battlefield V, Battlefront II, Need for Speed Payback, Anthem, FIFA, etc etc etc...

Jedi Fallen Order will feature no micro transactions of any kind and seems to hit all the right notes. We haven't seen a Star Wars game like this since Force Unleashed. We will definitely be streaming it launch day on Friday on Twitch!

2. Terminator Resistance

Release Date: 11/15 on PC worldwide, Console in Europe and Australia, and on December 10, 2019 Console in North America

Platforms: PC, PS4, Xbox One,

Developer: Teyon

Publisher: Reef Entertainment

Ok gamers. Let's talk about this type of game. It has had less than a month between announcement and release. It's release is meant to coincide with a movie launch (meaning it was probably rushed and had a short development cycle). It is a movie license game. It is a AAA name being made by a small untested dev team that don't have the AAA skill or budget for this. I call these games "Fake AAA" because they are meant to look big but they are usually awful. The last game made by this team was one of the worst ever, another movie license cash grabs, "Rambo: The video Game" back in 2014. Periodically, action movie franchises that in theory would make great games, like Fast and Furious, Godzilla, Rambo, Aliens, Marvel franchises, all come out with huge piles of 60$ shit that are pure embarrassments. Every red flag in the book tells us this game is going to be awful, and considering it is being sold at a full 60$ makes me caution to wait for reviews. I could be wrong and this turns out to be fun, but too many red flags are here. This is a HARD WAIT RECOMMENDATION at launch.

3. pokemon sword and shield

Release Date: 11/15

Platforms: Nintendo Switch

Developer: Game Freak

Publisher: The Pokemon Company, Nintendo

I will admit one major nerd culture franchise I know very little about is Pokemon. I have never played a Pokemon game and what little I know about it is Picachu from Smash. Luckily for all of you, I have outsourced this review to GiFriends MikeofallTrades who loves Pokemon! Stay Tuned.

As always, stay tuned here on Game Infinite News for the latest gaming news! Check back next week for New Game Tuesday!
